The Wagyu Society of South Africa is pleased to announce the National Elite and Production Auction, as well as the Wagyu Annual Congress to be held in Parys on the 1st October 2021. Fifteen bulls as well as fifteen heifers will be offered by the Elite auction and thirty bulls will be offered by the production auction. The two auctions will be presented together with the “UIT DE FLES” auction.
Conditions:
- Elite bulls and heifers must be older than 1 year. The animals must ideally be in the top 30% of the South African or Australian breeding value genetic evaluation (top 30% Marbling, top 50% Eye Muscle and top 70% for 200/400 days weights).
- Production bulls must be older than 2 years. The bulls must ideally be in the top 50% on the South African or Australian breeding value analysis (top 50% marbling, top 60% on Eye Muscle and top 80% for 200/400 days on weights).
- There are 20 lots for semen (maximum 20 straws per lot) and 10 lots for embryos (maximum 10 embryos per lot) for the “Uit de Fles” auction. The offers must be in the top 20% for the South African or Australian breeding value analysis (top 20% IMF, top 40% EMA and top 70% for 200/400 day weights).
- Five lots will be kept for foundation animals.
There will be an inspection course on 30 September at 14:00.
